100 Days For Change hits new heights and momentum​

Frankston Toyota pledges to increase their workforce to 40 per cent female employees by 2020.

100 Days for Change, the grassroots initiative that encourages all Australian organisations and individuals to implement change to increase workplace gender diversity, has now received pledges and support from more than 200 organisations and individuals across the country.    

Both large and small organisations have begun to implement a wide range of transformative workplace changes and initiatives. Highlights include: 

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank are promoting initiatives to assist their people to work flexibly 

AUSTRAC is establishing a women’s network throughout the agency

• the Nine Network are launching a mentoring program for women employees

Driveco have started using gender neutral language in recruitment drives

Frankston Toyota have pledged to increase their workforce to 40% females by 2020

EY has launched a ‘Glidepath to Leadership’ program that supports high-potential females

King & Wood Mallesons are launching 6 separate initiatives including a pay gap analysis

Fancy Films is launching a documentary series profiling a range of inspiring female leaders

CBRE is establishing a domestic violence policy and undertaking a pay parity study

Global Merces Funds have committed to offer flexible working solutions for mothers/fathers

Northrop will increase women in leadership roles and normalise flexible work arrangements

The Salvation Army is launching new policies, workshops and leadership development

Prompt Engineering is providing working mothers with flexible hours, location and support.

Individual pledges have also demonstrated a broad range of actions including community role modelling, strengths analysis and championing both maternity and paternity leave.  

“The depth, range and variety of pledges is truly remarkable, and really speaks to the quality and commitment of so many individuals and organisations,” said Suzi Finkelstein, Program Director for WLA. “To think that so many are actively working to build more inclusive cultures that make a difference to the engagement, capacity and growth of workplaces right across the country is just tremendous.”

The project is supported by the Australian Gender Equality Council, the Workplace Gender Equality Agency and Orima Research to quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate the campaign’s overall impact on Australian workplaces.

Organisations and individuals can still pledge their initiative and start to implement it by October 8th using the hashtag #100daysforchange on social media.
